Though it happens every day, it's likely that even the oldest Balinese resident hasn't grown weary of the magic of an Indonesian sunset. Come dusk, the setting sun triggers a light show of fiery oranges, lava reds and burnt yellows. Somehow, Bali's brilliant jewelers have squeezed that spectacle into this pendant. A square cabochon of deep-orange amber is bezel-set in the center of the pendant, providing a warm contrast to the cool silver and highlighting the gold-overlay accents. Amber is a 60-million-year-old stone with a treasure of organic history inside its deep-orange color. The amber is framed with ornamental silver filigree and granulation beadwork. Each corner sprouts a gold overlay seashell motif, with a tiny, gold-overlay orb centered on each side. The back of the pendant has been left open to let deep yellow light shine through and illuminate the one-of-a-kind inclusions within the ancient fossilized amber. The sterling silver bail is detailed with filigree and silver beads, as well as a lone, gold-overlay teardrop. Tulang Naga chain not included.
