Cruising the lukewarm bays and lagoons of the South Pacific, I can only imagine the way French Polynesia must have looked to the first European explorers. The scenery from every angle is stunning and when the sun hits just right, the beauty is enough to take your breath away.

We can say the same for our Island Beauty Blue Topaz and Seed Pearl Ring. At the center, a brilliant-cut blue topaz (2 1/5 ctw) is prong-set in 14K gold vermeil. The blue gem is encircled by a halo cluster of 24 dove gray seed pearls. Each sphere glows like a dollop of moonlight and seems to float like the fabled islands forged by coral and cooled lava. The pearls are individually set in a crown of 14K gold vermeil, atop a polished 14K gold vermeil band.

The pendant is similarly designed with a stunning, 2-carat blue topaz surrounded by an artful cluster of lustrous seed pearls set in 14K gold vermeil. The whole piece dangles elegantly from an 18" rope chain with 2" extender (chain not shown). Together both pieces will add a dash of island beauty to any ensemble. And on certain nights when the wind is just right, don't be surprised if you catch a whiff of plumeria in bloom.
