In October 1415, King Henry V battled valiantly against the French Prince Duc d’Alencon. Outnumbered by more than three to one, the King came under brutal attack. Despite numerous battle axe hits to his head, he survived thanks to his royal crown. While parts of the crown broke away, the large spinel stone (estimated at over 170 ctw) remained intact which ultimately saved his life. We have collected 170 carats of that lifesaving red stone and strung a spectacular necklace. The natural spinel that forms this necklace is only lightly cut to retain the unique, raw look. Our 16” spinel necklace (with 2” extender) secures with a silver lobster clasp. A stone fit for a king’s crown makes a fitting gem for this regal necklace.
