The 1930s brought unprecedented innovation in machine-age technology and materials. Industrial designers
from the auto industry translated the principals of aerodynamics and streamlining into everyday objects like
radios and toasters. It was also a decade when an unequaled variety of watch cases and movements came into
being. In lieu of hands to tell time, one such complication, called a jumping mechanism, utilized numerals
on a disc viewed through a window. With its striking resemblence to the dashboard gauges and radio dials of
the decade, the jump hour watch was indeed "in tune" with the times!
The Stauer 1930s Dashtronic deftly blends the modern functionality of a 21-jewel automatic movement
and 3-ATM water resistance with the distinctive, retro look of a jumping display (not an actual jumping
complication). The stainless steel 1-1/2" case is complemented with a black alligator-embossed leather
band. The band is 9-1/2" long and will fit a 7-8 1/2" diameter wrist.
If you have an appreciation for classic design with precision accuracy, the 1930s Dashtronic Watch is
built for you. This watch is a limited edition, so please act quickly. Our last two limited edition
watches are totally sold out!
I think it is a good deal for $99 but the advertising is misleading as it looks like the lettering on the face of the watch is engraved when it is NOT. Takes some of that "toughness" away from the look of the watch.
Ordered this watch on Monday and it is on my wrist today, Friday. I can not stop looking at this watch, it is so nice. I am not a watch guy but after seeing this in an airplane magazine I was hooked. I am very happy with my purchase. And what great & timeliness service, hard to find that anymore. You will not be disappointed if you get this watch, it is solid!!

I get stopped all the time by people admiring my watch. Not only is it different looking, it keeps perfect time! I''m very rough on watches (can kill a Timex in a less than a month), and I''ve been wearing this watch every day for the past 14 months. My only negative comment, is that there isn''t a woman''s version, only the men''s. I was so entranced with the watch, that I went ahead and got the men''s. Luckily, I''m tall, so I can carry it off.
bought this watch after seeing it in a magazine off of impulse, which i dont ever do normally. Its very comfortable to wear and i am picky when it comes to wearing watches. looks great in person, picture does not do it justice. great watch, awesome case it comes in with cleaning cloth and customer service card and other info about it. A+
I Got this watch from my mother in-law for christmas. It is the coolest watch I have ever owned. I showed my wife and am now hinting for a new Stauer watch.
I got this watch for Christmas from my folks, I thought that they spend a ton of money on it for how nice it is! I looked at the price and I was shocked! It''s a great piece and all of my friends love it too :D a great buy.. I believe that I''ll be sticking with Stauer for my future watches.
This watch has a truly unique design that is beautiful and has a distinct style. However, it is not very accurate. The hour and minute dials do not align accurately and is most noticeable at the top and bottom of the hour. When the hour dial is lined up on the mark the minute dial is between 5 and 12 minutes in the previous hour. The customer service rep. even told me it was supposed to be that way. My watch has also lost 2-3 minutes in the last 2 weeks. I love the look, but would not recommend it due lack of accuracy.
I picked up a magazine on an airplane. Just like
D.B.P. from Central Indiana in 2009 posted, "So cool. So retro. So different. And so reasonably priced".I gave the family about 15 min. Now my pastor and a few friends want one. I subscribed them to the magazine. I broke the Chrystal and unfortunately it is not under warranty but they will repair it for $29.95 USD. such a small price for such a wonderful conversation piece. thank you!
