Eighty-two years ago, a watchmaker in Europe famous for building clocks at Versailles
created a legendary watch movement. He invented the first
watch with an automatic mechanical drive. These innovative movements required
no
batteries and never needed to be manually wound. Only seven
of these ultra-rare watches were ever made and we've only actually
seen one surviving masterpiece in a watch history museum.
Inspired by history, our Stauer Meisterzeit has been painstakingly handcrafted
to meet the demanding standards of vintage watch collectors.
Every interior dial has been carefully engineered to replicate the "complications" of the earliest multifunction watches. Two interior dials
display day and month and are run by a perpetual calendar mechanism. The 27-ruby-jewel movement utilizes an automatic self-winding mechanism inspired
by a patent from 1923. With an exhibition back, you can see into the heart of engineering and you can see the rotor spin to keep it wound-it's powered
by the movement of your body.
This limited edition Stauer Meisterzeit allows you to wear a watch far more
exclusive than most new "upscale" models. Here is your chance to
claim a piece of watchmaking history in a rare design that
is priced to wear everyday. This offer might not reappear
for another 80 years.
My wife purchased this for me on Valentine''s Day, it is now one of my favorite watches, and I have several high-end watches already. The craftsmanship is equal or better than many much more expensive watches. It is great and I expect it to serve me for years to come!
The Stauer Meisterzeit II is a beautiful watch. If you think it looks good in the pictures, you will definitely find this watch looks amazing on your wrist. The pictures on the website do not do this watch justice. The deep blue hands and numbers perfectly contrast the gold etched face. The exhibition glass back adds an additional touch of class.
This watch is much thicker than it appears in the photo. Don''t let that sway you because it is really comfortable to wear. My only suggestion to Stauer would be to either enlarge or magnify the date.
This is the second Stauer watch in my collection. My other watch is the Stauer Gotham Chronograph Timepiece. Both are nice watches but the Meisterzeit II is certainly my favorite.
I wouldn''t wait to buy this watch. It is a bargain at the current sale price. You won''t regret adding this watch to your wardrobe.
I liked the shape and ordered this. Was impressed with the box that it arrived in with some lettering - made me feel like I was buying an expensive watch - however there were many typos on the box.
The watch itself is bigger & thicker than it looks on the website. It works fine, have used it for 3-4 weeks now. It is extrememly hard to read the date & I don''t even wear glasses - seems like the date window needs to be slightly larger than it is - with the size of the watch Stauer should increase the size of the date window.
Be ready to answer questions, it does grab attention !!

I recently receieved my watch and thus far I am very satisfied. It has a very classy and rich look. It is thick, but I like it. My only problem is that the dials that tell you the date, day of week, and the month are a little small. At this time I think I will be making additional purchases in the future.
I received the watch today and it is beautiful, nice details and looks expensive. But it is quite thick, a lot more compared to my other automatic watches (which I had previously considered them as thick). I''d say this watch looks good when you are wearing long sleeves.
At the beginning I was a bit taken how large this watch being used to small quartz watches but I knew this is a beautiful watch. You can get use to it. The dial is stunning with dark blue hands. It sure look classic. My neighbor and friends finds it very interesting and it became a good conversation piece.
