Master of Disaster

Danger was his middle name, but it deserved to be his first. When we were kids, Eddie climbed the highest tree. He jumped from bridges without knowing if the water was deep enough. He looked at barbed wire and 'no trespassing' signs as personal invitations. We all thought he was indestructible, but he was just built tougher than everyone else. Much tougher.
Too bad you couldn't say the same for his stuff. Eddie was hard on everything he owned from bike tires to blue jeans. And most of his watches didn't stand a chance. You could say that I created the Stauer Spartan Chronograph for Eddie. Not for him personally, but for everyone like him. Guys who have a sordid history of busted faces, cracked cases and broken bands. At last, the world’s most notorious watch killers have met their match.
The Spartan is the watch that won't die. We won't allow it. In fact, if it ever takes a knockout punch, just send us what's left and send you a replacement. It's as simple as that. And we'll back that guarantee for 10 full years after purchase. Why make such a bold promise? Because words are cheap. I can sit here all day long bragging about how tough the Spartan is, but I'd rather let you handle the field work. Put it through its paces. Give it your worst.
Take a closer look and you'll see that the Stauer Spartan has the face of a gentleman and the body of a brawler. Our goal was to design a watch that could transition effortlessly from the rugged outdoors to the four-star ristorante on the corner. It doesn't matter if you're a sportsman, an athlete or just an all-around, full-contact kind of guy, this watch can go along for the ride.
Once you try on the Spartan Chronograph, you'll understand that there isn't much to worry about. The hefty case is crafted of solid, stainless steel and paired with a bracelet of folded steel (the same process used to forge Japanese swords). The meticulously-detailed dial is protected by a smashproof crystal disc, ringed with a tachymeter and a workhorse bezel of black chrome and shock-resistant rubber. The face of the Stauer Spartan features an classic guilloche design with a bold Roman numeral index and three eyes at 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock. You'll find a date window between the 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock positions. The watch is water-resistant to 3 ATMs.
