This watch was deemed important enough by The Metropolitan Museum of Art to share space with ancient treasures from Mesopotamia, sketches by daVinci and paintings by Picasso and Pollock. It's true: this elegant Swiss Orbiter timepiece is based on an elegant pocket watch from the museum's collection that was made in Switzerland around 1820. Inside the luxuriously rounded, gold-fused case, time is marked on a stylish face that incorporates an orbiting circle design and multiple textures.

Mixed black hands mark hours along the larger dial and a smaller inset complication ticks away the seconds. Smooth-moving hinges allow for a comfortable fit on the wrist.
