One of Italy’s greatest street parties, the Carnevale di Venezia, was born in the 13th century. In the generations since then, Venetians have perfected the art of dressing up... way up. Costumed participants along the Venice canal strut like luxurious peacocks in painted white masks, lush ruffled robes and massive headdresses of feathers and plumage.
Not surprisingly, what caught my eye this year was the jewelry. I fell hard for the big, bold orange agate necklaces, each orb shining like a succulent string of sun-ripened fruit. Our stunning 32" Carnevale Agate Necklace features fat beads
of faceted, enhanced red-orange agate strung together with hand-knotted jeweler’s thread. The graduated strand showcases a mix of sparkling, faceted beads and glossy, polished beads of varying transparency and color concentration. You’ll also notice finely detailed, gold-finished filigreed spacers that add an extra dimension of elegance. The plunging bouquet secures with a gold finished chain and lobster clasp.
By itself, the necklace is a knockout. Add the matching 8" elastic bracelet and the French hook earrings, they complete a collection that is sure to turn heads whether you’re cavorting along the Venetian canal or simply raising a glass with close friends. Our Carnevale Agate Collection is a remarkable cache of opulent orange that can transform even the most ordinary evening out into a cause for celebration.
