Our glorious new pendant was inspired by Empress Helena, the mother of Constantine the Great. While it was Constantine who would later bring Christianity to the Roman Empire, Helena traveled to Jerusalem in the 4th Century and reportedly discovered an incredible 300-year old relic at Calvary... the True Cross upon which Jesus was crucified. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was later constructed on the site, and Emperor Theodosius II presented the Church with the first jeweled cross ever made… the Crux Gemmata.
Our new Gemmata Pendant celebrates that gift with an exquisite selection of bright, colorful gems and colors that reflect the heritage of the Old Testament. The brilliant hue of our stunning blue sapphires represents both Heaven and Truth. Fourteen genuine blue sapphires, totaling 2 ½-carats, are set in a gleaming cross of sterling silver and beautifully framed with 62 lab-created DiamondAura®. Our Gemmata Pendant will prove a sumptuous addition to a lady’s wardrobe and also a dazzling testament to the power of her personal faith.
