Centuries ago, the Moorish King Ibn- Almundim of Portugal wed Gilda, a beautiful daughter of royalty from the frigid North. Despite their love, Gilda grew more and more melancholy. Doctors from across the land decided that the new queen was homesick because the snows of Gilda's frozen homeland never fell along the balmy Mediterranean shores of her new kingdom. So the king planted hundreds of almond trees within view of the castle. The trees still bloom in Portugal, covering the Algarve countryside in a breathtaking "spring snow" of white petals.
Our Amandier DiamondAura® Earrings were inspired by those romantic blossoms. The almond-shaped, rose gold-finished setting features a stunning collection of sparkling white and elegant black lab-created DiamondAura. While we think planting hundreds of trees is quite the romantic gesture, these Amandier Earrings will definitely put a smile on her face, not to mention take her breath away.
