Swiss diver hits rock bottom

The best dive watches on Earth are made by artists with their heads in the clouds. You can’t get any further away from the ocean floor than a watchmaker's workshop in the snowy Swiss Alps. Serious dive enthusiasts swear by Switzerland’s legendary craftsmen, who have earned their reputation as "Timekeepers to the World." Once upon a time you needed your own Swiss bank account to afford the caché that came with owning a genuine Swiss-made chronograph. But today we shatter our own record and shock the luxury retail world with our Stauer Swiss Dive Biosphere.

The elegant gold-on-midnight palette and two-tone stainless link bracelet gives this tough watch a sophisticated look. But the Biosphere is no fashion plate. It’s a luxury watch that isn't afraid to get its hands dirty. It’s water-resistant down to 660 feet or 20 atmospheres, a feat facilitated by a hardened sapphire crystal and screw-down back. And luminous hands and markers afford clearer visibility in low-light surroundings—perfect for wreck-diving off the coast of Spain or dining after dark in Paris. Fits wrists 7"–8¾".

A Great Chronograph and Even Better Value

Stauer''s Swiss Dive Biosphere is an excellent timepiece. It is both attractive and functional. I have received many compliments on its appearance. The luminescent hands and markers are bright and clear to ensure easy reading even in low-light conditions. The rotating bezel''s positive clicks (two per minute) make tracking elapsed time or distance an accurate and easy task. Whether at the office or in the field - this is the timepiece to own!

Swiss Dive Biosphere Chronograph

I have owned and worn this watch since November of 2007 and have been very pleased with its quality and functionality. My other watch is a Rolex and the Stauer keeps better time! Needless to say, the Rolex is in the safety deposit box while the Stauer gets worn every day. Thank you Stauer for a great watch.

Swiss Dive Biosphere Chronograph

The watch was a gift from my wife in April to replace the Rolex chronograph that I passed down to my son. I found the watch attractive and comfortable to wear. A bit larger than my Rolex but still not overly large. The watch was easy to set and simple to use. I fly for a hobby and with the CAP and often fly on instruments. This requires the use of a stop watch, the reason for a chronograph. To be effective the watch must be easy to read with a quick glance. While the he gold complications are attractive the minute dial (10 o''clock) is next to impossible to read. The gold ring is lovely to look at but reflects light in a way as to make the minute markers unreadable without a lot of wrist twisting. Also the hand will cover the minute dial between 9 and 11. Again making the reading of the minute dial very difficult. All is not lost as I quickly learned how to use the rotating bezel to compensate for an almost non-functioning minute dial.Overall for looks and most functions a 10. For a pilot'' watch a 2.

Great watch

This is not a pilots watch. It is a divers watch and is very good. Easy to read and very good in low light situations. I highly recomend this watch if you are a diver. And you cannot beat the price.
