The coin inside this watch has a secret past. It's so secret that we can't tell you about it...because we don't know anything for sure. Maybe it jingled in the pocket of a banker who struggled through the Panic of 1857. Maybe it was part of a poker pot during a saloon game in Deadwood. Or maybe it was a soldier's lucky dime that he carried into battle during the Civil War. The truth could be any one of these stories. Or all of them. We love the history and mystery of old coins. But that's just part of what makes the Seated Liberty Dime Watch so unique. The other part, of course, is the watch.
We gave our watch designers exclusive access to the vaults of one of the largest coin dealers on the planet. They took Stauer's passion for recreating vintage timepieces and combined it with authentic artifacts of American history. The result is a genuine piece of the past that looks spectacular on your wrist.
This classic American coin is 90% silver and set to display the obverse portrait of Lady Liberty encircled by 13 stars representing the original colonies. It sits at the bottom of the Mother-of-Pearl dial, framed by a scalloped, gold-toned oval case. Inside, the time is kept by a legendary Swiss movement and protected by a stainless steel caseback and crown. The Seated Liberty Dime Watch secures with a croc-embossed, black leather band. Wear it and you'll always be able to spare a dime...and the time. Fits wrists 6 3/4" - 8 3/4".
