Handmade rollerball pens showcasing unique natural materials
In the leadup to Christmas, four teenage brothers took to their Dad’s workshop to make presents for the holidays. Puzzles, toys, miniature violins, scrolled names — they seemed to do it all with wood.
Several weeks later, the boys’ Great Uncle showed them how to “turn a pen.” With the Great Uncle’s training and the donation of pen kits, materials, time and knowledge, it wasn’t long before the boys were crafting their own advanced pens.
Today, the Roland brothers are pen-making gurus, and we are able to offer their creations to you. Each of these handmade rollerball pens is one-of-a-kind, made of either abalone shell, sunset gold pinecone or blue cholla cactus. A feature that makes this pen truly mesmerizing is its unique magnetic cap. The cap easily posts magnetically onto the nib and back of the pen without the use of threads. Made by a team of young craftsmen, this is that magical blend of artisanship and family. In an age of keyboards and text messages, keep the fine art of handwriting alive with a beautiful, handcrafted pen.
