Mad scientist reinvents clock
The Quantum Leap Watch gives you an advanced
perspective on time
The professor came to us with an idea. His wild eyebrows and shocks of white hair made us skeptical, but he possessed an enthusiasm that made us hear him out. “What if we’ve been thinking about time all wrong?” he asked. “What if, instead of going round in circles, we could do it in half the time and space?”
We asked the professor to build us a prototype.
The result was the Stauer Quantum Leap Watch, a retro-future work of art that challenges the way we think about timepieces. The Quantum Leap uses an ingenious system of short and long hands to tell time in an all-new way that requires only the top half of the watch face. The mind-bending design is inspired by pressure gauge style dials from 19th century steam powered machinery.
It takes only seconds for a new wearer to grasp the innovative new system, and you’ll have a unique and collectible timepiece that will be the envy of those stuck with standard time displays.
If you’re prepared to think differently and add to your collection a whole new way of telling time, then we think a Quantum Leap is in your future.

I love it!
If you do crossword puzzles, algebra, and complex things to keep your mind sharp you will love this watch. If your concept of a fun day involves CNC milling, CAD design, and fine woodworking, or if you just love gears and motors, this is your watch. It is totally unique in every way and it will force your brain to work everything you check the time. It's just pure fun on your wrist.
The watch is lightweight and comfortable. The band comes with a spring loaded stretch clasp for total comfort. The face looks pink in the picture but in person it features a wonderful brushed brass finish for a touch of utilitarian class. This is a watch of technical sophistication with a unique utilitarian style that defines all those who wear it. Engineers, inventors, dreamers, gearheads, and everyone else, this is your watch.

Received this watch as a Christmas gift and really enjoy wearing it. Very different and it champions the industrial revolution in our country. Machanical devices are timeless and represent innovative design.
The only thing I had to do was get the band sized at a reputable jeweler. Excellent quality, a must have addition for the watch collector.
Elegant, masculine, & fun
Basically anyone who looks at this time piece is mesmerized & it's wonderful. Every. Single. Time.
This is a gorgeous watch with a lot of character. Aside the obviously unique time display, one of the most appealing aspects of its aesthetic is the depth of the face due to the three stacked hands & tall glass lense. By comparison, many other contemporary watches seem flat in the face while the Quantum Leap has a dimensional look.
The case has a very solid feel & adjusting the band to my wrist took less than five minutes with a tiny screwdriver & pliers. I love the look & feel of the watch so much that it has replaced my minimalist Skagen as my every day time piece.
Setting the date & time is simple using the single crown just like any other old school analog watch. While learning the new system takes a few days of adjusting, it's actually been a fun little exercise that comes up throughout the day.
The Quantum Leap is probably one of the best watches I've owned. Thanks, Stau
