DaVinci?s Last Supper
Handmade in Italy
Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” is among the greatest and best-known works of art in all of human history. The mural of Jesus Christ revealing to his 12 disciples that one of them will betray him, and detailing their reactions, was painted on the wall of Santa Maria delle Grazie church refectory way back in the 1490s. The 500-year-old work has somehow survived the centuries, including the World War II bombing of the church in 1943.
This recreation of the “Last Supper” in a high-relief sculpted plaque adds an extra dimension to the sacred work, allowing any serious art appreciator to feel the presence of the 13 figures and study the details of the disciple’s reactions. This standout sculpture will bring you a new appreciation for da Vinci’s undisputed genius and new levels of understanding for the importance of this famous piece of art and the moment it depicts.
Handmade by Italian artisans who understand their craft, this sculpture was created using enhanced marble from the very same Carrara quarry Michelangelo chose in the late 15th century.
