Pasta born at 3,280 feet
Handcrafted in the shadow of the beautiful Dolomites mountain range in northeastern Italy.
Monograno Felicetti is a small, family-run workshop known world-wide for it’s superior artisan made pasta. In the picturesque mountain province of Trentino, master pasta-makers skillfully transform prized grain varieties into edible art, full fragrance and flavor. Monograno: the name in itself tells the story of its pasta. A single type of wheat, a single mill that grinds it into flour, and a single goal: the pursuit of quality, which means producing food that is delicious, healthy and safe. Monograno takes the wheat from the field to your table with minimal processing, preserving its distinctive natural qualities.
This pasta is made of Kamut–– a Khorasan-type durum wheat that originated in the Middle East several thousand years ago and is the ancestor of our modern grains. Kamut is twice the size of modern-day wheat and is known for its rich nutty flavor. This pasta is Non GMO, organic and Kosher.
Chiocciole is a less well known shape of pasta, which looks like a large elbow with one end pinched nearly shut. This small tube-shaped pasta works well with most sauces, especially heavier sauces such as bolognese and ragu.
