The wrist is history
Helenite delivers the gorgeous colors of emerald, sapphire and ruby
at a gorgeous price
When Mount Saint Helen’s erupted on May 18, 1980, it burned over 230 square miles of land in the Pacific Northwest. The swath of destruction left in its wake was unexpected. But what it yielded in the aftermath was even more surprising. When cleaning after the eruption, it was accidentally discovered that, when heated, the elements in the volcanic rock would fuse to form a rich, deep green, similar to an emerald.
Originally, helenite was only available in green. However, we’ve discovered that the addition and subtraction of trace minerals like chromium, cobalt, titanium and gold creates deep rich red and stunning blue hues.
Helenite is indeed a piece of American history, and now she can wear this storyteller as a beautiful bracelet. For this bold new take on our classic helenite bracelet, we took 7 1/2 total carats of helenite and combined it with 3 3/4 total carats of gleaming natural white topaz to create maximum sparkle in a triple row design. Set in .925 sterling silver, this is a bracelet that promises to make a romantic impact of historical proportions. 7 1/2" long with pin box clasp.
