The interest in kyanite comes from the fact that the best gems exude a stunning blue that many have compared to the finest sapphires in the world. Often mistaken and sometimes even sold as sapphire at the turn of the century, the rich blue stone has recently come into its own. But those supreme stones aren’t easy to get to, as the best specimens come from the Himalayans in Nepal.
So, we got out the hiking gear and ended up with the Blue Kyanite Trinity Ring. I think it’s safe to say it was worth the trek. Three perfectly-faceted ovals of blue kyanite give off the famous blue glow of sapphires from a setting of sterling silver. And, just because we went to great heights to get this gem more rare than sapphires, doesn’t mean an elevated price. In fact, we think you’ll find the cost of the Blue Kyanite Trinity Ring very down to earth.
