The Medici family of Florence was the wealthiest in Europe throughout the Renaissance. The Medici’s legacy includes bankrolling the creation of the first piano and the art form of opera, funding the construction of both the Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican and the famous Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral in Florence, and patronizing the talents of Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Galileo, so they could share their talent with the world.
Inspired by this regal Renaissance family, we contacted a modern Florentine dynasty of leather goods workers and asked them to create a card wallet fit for the Medicis themselves. The Fiorentino Card Wallet is handcrafted in Italy by the Peroni family using vegetable tanned leather and the “cuoio artistico fiorentino” method, which makes it miraculously seamless. Handpainted with 22-karat gold trim, this card wallet shows the world you have impeccable taste.
