From approximately 1450 to 1530, the western coast of South America flourished under the Incan Empire. Among their many achievements in government and counting systems were their roadways. They set up roads running the length of the kingdom from Ecuador to the southern borders of Argentina and Chile. It was this link to the silver mines in Argentina that led to their discovery of a rare pink stone with exquisite marbling.
This glowing treasure came to be known as the Inca Rose Stone. And, according to Incan legend it was believed to contain the spirit of their ancestors. Well, we don’t know about that, but the Inca Rose Stone is, without a doubt, absolutely stunning. And, absolutely rare. The Inca Rose Stones in our collection come from those same silver mines in Argentina where the Incas discovered it centuries ago.
Each unique stripe, vein and band reveals the Inca Rose Stone’s million-year journey. We’ve complemented this natural beauty with Bali-style metalwork in sterling silver with an antiqued finish. Finding rare and exceptional stones is the second best part of our job. Being able to offer our customers a great price is the first.
