Capture over 19 carats of rare, raw tanzanite in a cage setting
Dear reader, do you dare to go au naturel? When it comes to beauty, it’s hard to beat tanzanite in its natural state. Only found on five square miles near Mount Kilimanjaro, tanzanite was forged about 585 million years ago through massive tectonic plate activity and intense heat. This rare gem is noted for its incredibly strong trichroism, meaning it will alternately appear a vibrant blue, deep violet, or rich burgundy depending on how the crystal is held.
Now, this ultra-rare stone can be yours. Captured in a handcrafted sterling silver cage-like pendant, we’re upping the rareness factor by presenting 19½ carats of tanzanite in its natural state. As each tanzanite gem is unique, its shape will vary.
Located just one known place in the entire world, it’s expected that the supply of new tanzanite will be exhausted in the not-too-distant future. Once no new stones are available, tanzanite will be a luxury you either inherit or buy at a premium — which makes the price of this pendant as rare as the gem itself. Capture before it’s too late.
