Some of the most iconic American westerns like “The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly” and a “Fistful of Dollars” were produced and directed by Italians and shot in the drier, more arid landscapes of central and southern Italy. This led to the term “Spaghetti Westerns” and produced a distinct film genre that has greatly influenced Westerns as we know them today. This merger of talent inspired us to create the Rosa di Pizzo Collection–– an elegant tribute to the spirit of the American wild west.
We tapped into the amazing talents of Italian artisan Fiorella Cappelli to take on such a venture. Fiorella works from her studio in the heart of Arezzo’s jewelry district, where she rubs elbows with the world’s biggest jewelry names. A master seamstress as well as metalsmith, Fiorella creates designs inspired by fine fabrics. Her love of lace is evident in the Rosa di Pizzo Collection where she has created a delicate “lace” rose motif in sterling silver finished in yellow gold.
This collection definitely lives up to its name which means “Roses of Lace” as laser etching combines with intricate 3D metalworking to create amazing texture and dimension. This jewelry is in a genre all its own and is blazing trails in metal artistry.
