A most see-worthy treasure from Italy
Raffinato by Stauer
Trezze is the name given to rock formations that rise from the sandy bottom of the Adriatic Sea from Grado to Venice. They are a “geological curiosity” not found in other parts of the Mediterranean. These “islands” of rock provide much-needed anchors and settlements to many fish species, creating an oasis of biological richness and biodiversity. We’ve got the jewelry equivalent right here.
The Trezze Ring brings the look of underwater coral to life in dual textures and a lustrous shimmering finish. To create such meticulously-detailed pieces, we secured the talents of a second generation, family-owned company. From their workshop tucked in the green hills of Tuscany, the Preziose family has perfected an age old metalsmithing tradition first practiced in the first millennium B.C. by Etruscans living in Italy.
In the highly-skilled hands of Domenico Arezzini, freshwater pearls find refuge on a bed of “coral” fashioned from 18K gold-finished sterling silver. In the final stages of firing the precious metals, Domenico creates a shimmering finish that brings this tribute to nature’s most ingenious habitat to life. Striking and unique, just like her.
