In fact, according to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), citrine’s attractive color and durability makes it the top-selling yellow-to-orange gem. 

Citrine’s lustrous, golden color is thought to radiate positive energy. It is known as the ‘success stone’, since it is believed to promote prosperity and abundance, especially in situations involving business. According to legend, citrine is able to dissipate negative energy. Whether this proves to be true, one thing is for certain, the warm, honeyed glow of citrine is hard to resist.
