Damascus squared
Double the Damascus steel without doubling the price
There was one must-have weapon in the ancient world, and it was a sword of Damascus steel. Forged using a secretive technique that combined high-quality steel with extra materials to reinforce the metal, Damascus blades were legendary for their longevity, their resistance to shattering, and for having the sharpest edges in the known world. The process also imprinted a distinctive wavy pattern on the metal, and so a Damascus blade was immediately recognizable the second it was drawn, which only added to its legend.
The Damascus Dual knife is a folding knife made of modern Damascus steel. Not only does the blade itself show the telltale textured pattern of Damascus steel, the handle itself has also been honed to the same standard and so shows the same beautiful signature pattern. This is the first time we’ve offered a full Damascus steel blade and Damascus steel handle knife. Even though we’re offering double the Damascus, we’re still keeping the price low. Why? Because we think this is a knife that belongs in your collection, and because we want the secret of Damascus steel to be exhibited with pride.

Beautiful Work of Art
I started collecting knives about five years ago. Most are specialized knives with specific uses. I received my Stauer knife as a gift from my best friend/brother. Without a doubt, this knife will always hold a special place in my heart, not just because of who gave it to me, but because of it’s beauty, it’s craftsmanship and it’s obvious durability.
In most cases, I won’t buy a knife just to put it on display for others to admire. I will carry it and use it if need be.
Because of it’s hefty weight, the sheath is a necessity. It’s just too heavy to carry in my pocket. That’s okay though. I prefer wearing it on the outside for easy access.
Thank you Stauer. Thank you bro.

Very Disappointed
I've bought many knives from Stauer over the years, and this is the first time I've been disappointed. It took over 2 months just to receive my knife (ordered May 23, received August 1) and when I opened the package I was very surprised to find a filthy knife - appears they didn't clean it at all after production, turned my fingers black the first time I opened it. Still, I can clean and sharpen a knife if that is all that was wrong, but unfortunately the locking mechanism is also defective, the blade "wiggles" when it is open and does not lock firmly in place.
I'll be sending it back - first time I've ever returned anything to Stauer.
