They say you can see the entire universe inside an opal. That's how startlingly vast their beauty is. Unique in the gem world for being neither stones or minerals, opals are formed by centuries of seasonal rains that pull microscopic silica particles from sandstone and carry them deep into underground fissures and cavities. After these particles dry, they form opal, unleashing a rainbow-colored kaleidoscope of the universe within a gem.

Upping the rareness factor, we've sourced these opals from Ethiopia, home of softer and lighter formations of the gem. To make their color truly explode, we've set them against pink sapphires for a ring that will dazzle even the most jaded gem collector.
