Snowfall is rare in southern Italy — but thanks to our Italian artisan Davide, it’s snowing sparkling Italian gold-covered snowflakes in Arezzo.
Forty eight miles southeast of Florence is Arezzo –– a Medieval jewel-filled city with picturesque piazzas, Old World charm and the finest jewelry artisans in the entire world. The people of Arezzo have been inventing and mastering ways to work with metal for more than 2,000 years, passing down skills from generation to generation, always striving to refine their craft and stay ahead of the competition.
Arezzo is also home to our Italian office. Surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and walls painted with frescos from the Italian Renaissance, we form valuable partnerships with our Italian buyers and artisans. It’s where we dreamed up the concept of Italian snowflakes with Davide. Formally trained as a goldsmith, Davide has magically transformed molten metal into intricate, lacy snowflakes sparkling with white stones.
