Forlorn Chemist Creates World's Greatest Gems

Talk to any gemologist and they’ll give it to you straight: The world has been kissed in just a few places with gemstones. These gems are costly to mine from the ground, difficult to cut just right and expensive to place in a ring and sell at your local jewelry shop.

Recently, one of our scientists at Stauer decided he’d had enough. This brilliant chemist was hoping to bring the bling to his bride, but suffered an intense case of sticker shock when he saw what the big guys were charging. We’re talking thousands upon thousands for gemstone rings with a decent carat weight.

That’s when our forlorn Dexter rolled up the sleeves of his lab coat and got to work. The result is our Precious Stone Lab Ruby Ring. This rings feature one of the “big four” precious gems: sapphire, ruby and emerald. 

These sustainably grown real stones are chemically and physically identical to their mined counterparts, but with less environmental impact, making them more sustainable and ethical.
