Ahead of the curve
Damascus steel forged to throw them for a curve
For centuries, a Damascus steel blade was instantly recognizable and commanded immediate respect. Recognizable because the unique and mysterious smelting process left a one-of-a-kind, rippled texture on the steel, and respected because Damascus steel’s sharp edge and resistance to shattering were the stuff of legend. If you carried Damascus steel, you were ahead of the curve.
The Damascus Curva Knife celebrates those legendary blades. It uses modern Damascus steel, with the same rippled texture pattern on the blade, to create a curved folding knife that’s 7-1/2" in total length. With a liner lock mechanism, which allows the knife to be opened and closed using just one hand, and a decorative handle made of buffalo horn and colored bone, this knife is a trophy for any hunter or collector.

Not happy
The blade is beautiful and sharp but the back of the blade is very badly finished so the lock to keep the knife open doesn''t really work and the blade doesn''t stay in place. I also had to tighten the rivets.

Poor in many ways.
The blade does not lock firmly. It has a lot of play when in the locked position. The inlays on the handle are done very poorly. They are held on with rivets. Some of the rivets are not ground flush and some are ground so deeply that there are significant divots in the inlay piece. The side pieces of the knife the inlays are attached are very very flimsy and flexible so that when you hold it it flexes in so much that it feels liek it''s collapsing and the inlay pieces rub against each other. Not well uted and poor quality control both. Not a good combination.
