Majestic Mount St. Helens Reaches for the Stars
A famous volcano has created a gem for the cosmos
This brilliant clear creation was produced from heated volcanic rock. Named “helenite” after the volcano from which it was born, its ability to display vivid color has captured the attention of jewelry designers worldwide.
Helenite was born from the explosion of Mount St. Helens, the single largest volcanic event in American history. After lying dormant for nearly a century, this famous volcano blew its top on May 18, 1980. Through the use of blowtorches to expedite the cleanup, it was discovered that the heated volcanic rock transformed into the remarkable stone helenite, a clearer, cleaner and brighter gem than the finest rubies and emeralds.
That’s why we reached for the stars with our latest helenite offering. Meet the Helenite Star Ring, a dazzling creation that puts this miraculous stone on full display. Presented here in a fancy cut – the same shape as a faraway star – is 4 carats of helenite surrounded by the Ultimate Diamond Alternative®, DiamondAura®, to create an explosive display of fire and sparkle. Set in rhodium-finished .925 sterling silver, this ring is absolutely perfect for heating things up.
As Stauer is one of the largest helenite dealers in the world, we can offer you a deal on this sparkling ring. Get her the Helenite Star Ring and tell her she’s the only star you see.
