At the top of every hour, a procession of the Twelve Apostles appears through the clock’s window. Flanking the clock are figures representing vanity, greed, death and lust. But standard timekeeping is a secondary function of this clock; it also tracks the movement celestial bodies and other astrological information through its mechanical astrolabe.
