Ever since I first laid eyes on the Caribbean Sea, I have been searching for a blue like that. It was the most powerful feeling that I ever felt from seeing the mesmerizing water. Amazingly, God kissed the earth with a little magic right in sight of that beautiful sea in one tiny area of the Dominican Republic where we have found Larimar — a stone only discovered by a priest just 108 years ago. An artisan named it Larimar for his beautiful daughter Larissa and for the Spanish word for sea … Mar.
Now I must admit that blue is my favorite color and this shade is my favorite of all. So our Stauer gang headed to the Dominican and bought a few thousand carats — that’s a huge percentage of the stones found each year-allowing us to offer the lowest prices on Larimar in the marketplace. Our new setting on Larimar may be the most refined design we have created for this lovely stone.
