Ions ahead of the rest
Stainless steel gets an extra dose of strength & sheen black ion plating
The classic men’s chronograph was in need of an upgrade, so we took the design to one of our cutting-edge ionic labs. Why? Because we know how to take a classic design and improve it. We can rebuild it. We have the technology. We can make it better than it was before. Better-looking, stronger, more in step with style.
The result is the Ionic Chronograph. Now, let’s talk chemistry. The advanced science in the Ionic is found in the band and bezel, where the finish has been ion-plated to the stainless steel. Performed in a vacuum by trained experts, ion-plating vaporizes the metals and bonds them together, essentially using a second form of hybridization, strengthening the metal so that it becomes up to eight times more resistant to the elements. Not to mention to aesthetic of lustrous black like you've never seen it.
Now, let's talk price. We've created the ultimate formula for revolutionizing the watchmaking industry. We've made it easy to ace chemistry AND economics with a watch that's ions ahead of the rest.

Disappointing poor workmanship
The first disappointment was my own fault. Looking at the bright white hands and indices I assumed it was lumed. Most chronographs are to allow them to be used in low light. It is not but the ad also did not say it was so my bad. The second disappointment is with the design or machining of the stem when setting things. There are effectively no detents on the stem as you pull it out so you cannot tell when which setting option is engaged if any. You have to slowly pull the stem out wiggling it until it moves what you want then hold the body and stem very precisely as you make your adjustment to keep the stem from moving in or out even slightly. Very fiddly.
