A friend of mine who is an Emmy winning TV producer just called me with a problem. Her father’s fancy black faced watch needed repairs and the factory said that the repair would cost upwards of $20,000 and would take at least 6 months! She was shocked and asked for my help. Of course I told her that our horologists could certainly fix it for less! In the meantime, I would send her father a similar classically-designed Stauer timepiece to wear while his watch was fixed. He loved the Stauer Prezzo and asked how much it was.
When I told him the price he look confused. How could his watch cost $20,000 to just repair it when he could own an elegant classic for this little? When I told him I guaranteed that our watch would be far more accurate than his ever was, he just shook his head in disbelief.
